Week 9 Highlights

There were several collectibles the preformed well during last week’s auction ending Sunday, March 5. The 1969 first printing Jim Salzer The Yardbirds with Jimmy Page concert poster sold for $188 after 14 bids, 1909 political cartoon by W. A. Carson U.P. System fetched $204 after nine bids, and 1918 political cartoon by Gaar Williams Been all Dressed Up Waitin’ to Go ended at $338 after seven bids.

Vintage music entertainment memorabilia in this week’s auction includes a first printing 1969 Jim Salzer The Yardbirds with Jimmy Page concert poster. A vintage 1954 Fisher Price Stage Lines Stagecoach pull toy sold for $177 after 22 bids and a Marvel Comics X-Men #95 graded and slabbed by CGC sold for the opening bid of $275. Vintage political cartoon artwork continues to sell at impressive rates, with the 1962 John Fischetti The Twist selling for $269 after seven bids and the 1954 Ray Evans Sr. Messing Up His Pictures fetching $295 after six bids.

This week’s auction offers a range of vintage products such as a 1954 Fisher Price Stage Lines stagecoach pull toy and music entertainment memorabilia like a 1971 Creedence Clearwater Revival concert poster.  There are also Disney collectibles available, including a 1950s Mickey Mouse Club Auto Magic Picture Gun by Worchester Toy Company.

Last Weeks Highlights

There were several collectibles the preformed well during last week’s auction ending Sunday, February 19. A matted set of two vintage original political cartoons by Jerry Doyle sold for $178 after seven bids. A 2007 Diamond Select Toys Joseph Michael Linsner motion globe prototype featuring Dawn fetched $405 after 12 bids. There was also one buy it now listing of note during last week’s auction is a 2003 Image Comics Invincible #1 graded and slabbed by CGC comics at a 9.6 NM+ which sold for $500.

As this auction ends, the next auction will become available for bidding during its week long run February 19 through February 26. DC Comics Batman Adventures #12, featuring the first appearance of Harley Quinn, graded at a 5.0 VG/FN, sold for $183 after 23 bids. Political artwork dominated this auction, as Eugene Craig’s The Stand-In Again ended at $191 after 5 bids, Charles Werner’s 1960 In God We Trust also sold for $191 after 8 bids, and Reg Manning’s 1952 How the Times Have Changed fetched $256 after 5 bids.

We continue to offer a diverse selection of pop culture and vintage collectibles in their our eBay auction ending Sunday, February 5.  Vintage items available for bidding currently include a black and white Ted Williams and Babe Ruth framed photograph, autographed by Ted Williams and complete with letter of authenticity, as well as a unused 1955 Walt Disney’s Davy Crockett Rescue Race board game by Gabriel. Comic book collectibles featured this week are a DC Comics Batman Adventures #12 graded at a 5.0 VG/FN, featuring the first appearance of Harley Quinn, as well as a variety of trade paperback Marvel Masterworks, such as The X-Men Volume 4.

 

 

Week 4 Highlights

The top preforming pop culture collectible during last week’s auction ending Sunday, January 29, was a vintage 1948 political cartoon by John F. Knott entitled Plans to Improve Paradise which fetched $256 dollars after 4 bids. There was also a buy-it-now style listing of note in that the Oreo cookies giveaway DC Comics Detective Comics #27, graded and slabbed by CGC at a 9.8 NM/MT sold for $200.
