Week 44 Preview

As this auction ends, the next auction will become available for bidding during its week long run October 30 to November 6. Vintage Disney items will include a Walt Disney Enterprises Mickey Mouse and Friends lampshade from the 1930s and a 1942 unused Bambi Character Plak by YPS from 1942. Other vintage items featured next week are an official Hopalong Cassidy Barclay children’s sweater from the 1950s and a 1960s tin litho Ohio Art Space Capsule Top with original packaging. Week 43 Spotlight

We continue to offer a diverse selection of pop culture and vintage collectibles in our weekly eBay auction ending Sunday, October 30. Vintage items currently available for bidding include a set of 1943 Lone Ranger and Tonto Safety Club prints and letters from Merita Bread, a 1950s tin litho television mechanical coin bank by D.B.G.M., and a pair of 1950s Gene Autry rubber children’s boots with original packaging. There are political items, like a lot of 1960s John F. Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy pinback buttons and vintage Topps products such as a lot of twenty 1961 sports car trading cards.

Week 42 HIGHLIGHTS

 

Both the very popular items of note that ended in during week’s action on Sunday, October 23, had one thing in common: Harley Quinn. DC Comics 1993 Batman Adventures #12, featuring the first appearance of Harley Quinn, graded and slabbed by CGC at a 9.4 NM sold for $481. A 2014 twenty two inch DC Stars Batman Harley Quinn Tonner Doll was purchased from a buy-it-now listing for $200.

Vintage collectibles include a wide variety of Disney products such as a 1930s Walt Disney Enterprises Mickey Mouse and Friends lampshade, a 1938 Radio Mirror magazine featuring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck on the cover, and a 1945 Walt Disney’s The Three Caballeros lobby card by RKO Radio Pictures. Popular items that ended in last week’s action on Sunday, October 16, included a Magic Productions 1994 Toy Expo limited edition The Shadow statuette which sold for $125, a vintage 1954 lot of six Enriched Tip-Top Bread sports car trading cards that sold for $126 after 13 bids and a vintage 1938 Ingersoll Walt Disney Enterprises Mickey Mouse lapel pocket watch that fetched for $294 after 19 bids.

Week 40 Highlights - CGC COMICS

Popular items that ended our auction last week on Sunday, October 9, included a variety of CGC graded and slabbed comics. Captain Midnight #5 by Fawcett graded at a 7.5 FN- from 1943 sold for $281. DC Comics Green Lantern #5 graded at a 7.5 FN- from 1961 and featuring a Hector Hammond appearance sold for $256. Golden age DC Comics 1945 Batman #27 graded at a 5.0 and featuring a Penguin appearance sold for the opening bid of $350. Also selling for its opening bid, DC Comics Green Lantern #9 graded at a 9.2 NM- and featuring the first appearance of the Jordan brothers sold for $750. GCG comics were even popular this week in their buy-it-now style listings as we also sold a Marvel Comics 1968 Sub-Mariner #1 featuring the Sub-Mariner’s origin, graded at a 9.2 NM-, sold for $600 dollars.
